Global Free Trade is arguably the biggest threat to democracy and social justice on the planet. At least it is in my opinion. So, here are a few audio files from various Free Trade Forums that have taken place in Portland over the last couple years. These Forums have been sponsored by various social justice groups, perhaps foremost among them would be the Portland Alliance For Democracy.
America is touted as the shining beacon of freedom and equality in the world. At least it has so in the past. Plenty of room, plenty of opportunity for people to rise above their station in life and achieve whatever their ambition and abilities provide. We still say this to the world, and we still believe it ourselves, while at the same time treating immigrants with the same disdain we earlier demonstrated towards the Indigenous populations, the Africans,Italian, Irish, a long list of hypocrisy and violence.
This section will offer information on current immigrant struggles.
A section featuring speakers from south of the border, who have traveled to the United States in order to gather support for their cause.
